LOL at the comments to that second article. According to the first article, the homeowner and the kid got in to an altercation; the homeowner shot the kid (apparently) in self defense. None of the commenters wonderded why a 13 year old was breaking in to cars at four o'clock in the morning, but DC will burn if the shooter isn't indicted/convicted for murder.

Of course the headline makes it sound like he was playing shooting gallery on "boys" from his front porch.
