We had a 5 star louisiana kid that we had to have get toasted and bullied by a 3 star louisiana kid that we didn't want. Sage vs Coleman. How does this happen.

So you pointed out one example?
There were people on here who were worried about sage when he was a recruit because he played offense in high school.
You never know for sure how those players will transition to the other side of the ball.
When sage first got game action at lsu I said he didn't look like a 5 star.
He should've moved to offense.

Do you have a point?
Coleman has expressly said he wasn't staying in Louisiana.
Sage was a stud in high school in every facet of the game, offense, defense punt returner, kick returner, punt coverage, and kick coverage.
Are you saying LSU should have ignored Sage and gone hard after a guy who had no interest in staying in the state?
Or maybe LSU should ignore all the star ratings and the high school accomplishments of players and go after the players Nichols and SELA are going after.
If you're going to be stupid with your implications then go ahead and double down and just say it outright.

Cool, now how many times has Clemson beat the frick out of 2 and 3 star ACC teams the past 15 years.
Just because Tyrann Mathieu was initially a 3 star, then 4 doesn't mean that JaMarr Chase or Will Campbell or Fournette weren't worthy of being a 5 star. We can play this game all day.
Our ceiling is 10-2 with the current class. Accept it. That gets you in the playoff next year but it won't win you a national championship which IS the standard at LSU. If Kelly can't win a national championship at this school where Les Miles and Ed Orgeron won, then he would be a failure.

Our DBs might not be what we want… but no one’s DBs would fair very well with the time we gave the FSU QB.
