I’ve had significant brain fog for a couple years now. Primary care doc says probably long covid - many of his patients reported brain fog same timeframe as me.
Tried bottle of Alpha Brain and I think it helps slightly with focus or staying on task. Hard to say really…
Anyone use mushrooms or other supplements for this?
ps - exercise and being active definitely helps also

Have you tried the FLCC long COVID protocol? Just curious.

No, never heard of it. Curious now though and will look into it. What is it?

I think the last time I looked at alpha brain it was pretty under dosed and mostly a proprietary blend.
If you are just wanting to try different things and see what works for you, then I would start with rhodiola LINK and some lions mane LINK.
If you are just looking for an all in one kind of thing, I've used Glaxon's nootropic supplement and can recommend it works well. Neuro 365

FLCC Long COVID Protocol
Never read through this until today. Not as many answers there as I had hoped. Still a place to start. Probably need to see an FLCC doc to narrow down the treatment.

I used to take phenibut, it seemed to help me with social situations. IDK if it's even available anymore.

Four Sigmatic's Mushroom Coffee w/ Lions Mane is pretty good for focus.

I use Alpha Brain every day and love it. Also, Laird Superfood Focus blend coffee has mushrooms. Also, 5g of creatine monohydrate every day. Creatine is great for the brain. Tons of research out there.

I remember taking Theanine, Alpha GPC, Bacopa, Nicotine, and Caffeine when I took the PE. I passed so maybe it worked?

It might be placebo but I have definitely noticed a difference on alpha brain.

Caffeine and nicotine fan here. I also drink Nutrabio's Alpha EAA somewhat regularly, which has Alpha-GPC, VitaCholine and Huperzine A.

There are 1,000 mg of various nootropics in my pre workout mix. They do help with focus but likely dosage needed for full effect is two or three times that. Most nootropics products are under dosed per serving need to double it at least.

Interesting, I've suffered with brain fog for a long time with no help. Might try this.

What kind were you using? Was it flavored with a bunch of other ingredients or just plain?
Posted on 5/26/23 at 10:43 pm to The Mick
L-tyrosine and L-theanine

I take 900mgs (3 capsules) of Phenibut from Liftmode every Saturday morning on an empty stomach, followed by a caffeine beverage. It stimulates dopamine production and gives me a pleasant day-long happy, euphoric state that peaks at about the 4th hour and tappers until the late evening. It also rids brain fog, enhances verbal fluency, eliminates social anxiety, and makes music and sex more pleasurable, besides giving me the best night of sleep for the week.
