As long as it doesn’t have multiple 5 minute long monologues that only teenagers think is deep and insightful every episode like Midnight Mass did.

I’m here for the ride and love all of Flanagan’s stuff but how many interracial, homosexual siblings can one cram into one family?
I swear I think they checked off every race for one family.

First episode down. Solid as always. Can’t wait to see all these awful characters get bumped off.

Trailer looks very "bad white people"... Hope not. I've liked his shows.

Hopefully this is more Hill House than Bly Manor in terms of quality. HH was incredible, but damn BM was a hot mess.
ETA: I haven't seen Midnight Mass, so I'll need to get to that soon.

I like Flanagan's movies but his series have been slow and boring and really hard to get through. I like the idea of doing a Poe adaptation but not a modern version. Probably gonna skip this show.

“The house of usher is not in the business of blowjob whiskey bars”

I didn’t get the quote perfect but close enough

Huh?
There’s lots of bad people of all races. Rich, all one family. But multiple races

Just finished the first 3 episodes and it's interesting how many references there are to Poe's other works (much more than just the titles of each episode). So Poe fans will probably get a kick out of that.
I'm not sure how much I'm enjoying a modern adaptation of The Fall of the House of Usher since I think the original setting lends itself to a much creepier tale, but the series definitely has some good moments so far. I think this is the type of series that'll be tough to form an opinion on until it's over (but I guess that's true for most of Flanagan's work).
Finally, props to Carla Gugino who is doing some VERY heavy lifting in this series!

The speech by the sister in episode 2 really annoyed me. These people all annoy me other than the grand daughter

Jeez, the end up episode 2 is gnarly as frick

How gory has it been? Trailer looked a lot bloodier and gory than his other series. Wife was a little dissuaded by the trailer since that isn’t really her thing.

Eh, well, there’s at least one very very very gory scene

It was a bit predictable

For sure and that's one of my complaints so far. So many different things are hinted at (including jump scares) that it takes away from the impact when those things actually happen.
I wish Flanagan didn't reveal so much (e.g., early on Roderick Usher has some dialogue about what's in the basement. People who know Poe's original story might have guessed that, but why mention it in like the first episode?), but I still think the ending to E2 looked really cool, even if it was sorta obvious what was going to happen.
