Anyone at a company that has incorporated this? Is it as good as it sounds?

If they give an average amount of PTO/holiday time you only end up working like half the calendar year (180ish days). Sounds amazing, need to find one of these companies.

I have a 4 day work week with a rotating day off that I can move around with a little notice. Every 3 weeks I get a 4 day weekend without using PTO. Been here a little over 2 years and love it

Heard some school districts are moving to 4 day weeks.

Overall hybrid schedules seem to be more of the norm, where most of the workforce are worthless on the work from home days.

9/80 schedule is where it’s at. Every other Friday off. Opposite Fridays the office is only half occupied so you can actually get shite done.

I think I would much prefer the 9/80 to 4 10 hour shifts every week.

To the people who like the 4 10s. Would you switch this for 3 13s? Why or why not?

We do 4x10s during the summer and it is awesome to be able to have Fridays off without taking PTO. By the time summer is over, I'm kind of ready to go back to 5x8s.

I've done 9x80 before and prefer it for the reasons stated above.

I used to work 7-5 M-T and 7-11 on F. It was nice.

It's not even close. People want to chat in the office. You have to stop in the halls to say hey. Interruptions. I can't do real work if someone is trying to talk to me. I'll stare at the screen like an idiot.

I absolutely hate working in the office. You have to say hi to everyone or they will think you are dick, and even better, trying to take a shite in peace.

I'd probably stick with 4 10s in my current role

4/10s is way better than 5/8s. Why anyone would dislike 52 more days off a year is beyond me

I believe most of the push for a 4 day work week is to shorten the number of hours worked to 32. It's not a push for 4 10 hour days.
