Does anyone have experience with either brand?

I like this model from Tissot. I like the bracelet type and watch style

I like this Alpina model, too.

I've got the Tissot PRS 516 Valjoux, the Tissot Heritage 1973, and Tissot Couturier Automatic Chronograph.

Absolutely love all 3 and I get compliments every time I wear one.

Don’t have either, but If you really like the Tissot white face third from the top, take a look at the Rado Coupole classic with the blue hands.

Agree. Tissot between these 2 options.

Might as well just purchase a nice Citizen or a Timex.

Some of the better looking Tissots, to me.

For a bracelet, I’d probably do the PRX in an automatic.

I have an Alpina, it’s crapped out on me twice in 8 years.

Great looking watch though

I have this Citizen. I really like it plus it’s light powered.
.
And this one.

Like them both.

You could always just build your own and get exactly what you want.

I am apparently doing it all wrong.

To the OP if you already have two chronographs I suggest getting either a dress watch or a tool watch of the diver or GMT variety or just something less busy in the casual still similar to a Rolex Oyster Perpetual (note I am not suggesting a Rolex just something in that style, plenty of options because that style has exploded since Rolex came out with the OP in different colors).

Tissot and Alpina both make solid watches. Of the ones you showed I like the blue Chrono Xl the best but unless you just love chronographs I would suggest something different to balance your collection. It might be the time to consider a mechanical movement. You can get a three-hand mechanical for roughly what you will pay for those chronographs.

Probably the same obsession people have on here for boats, cars, guns, etc. it’s a hobby?

A boat you can drive and fish on, car gets you from point a to b, a gun you can hunt and protect your family with. They all multiple aspects of utility.

Thank you for not helping me understand.

Are you suggesting watches have no utility?

I get the impression you are not looking for an answer but are simply trying to argue a position.

One form and I'm certain you carry another or multiple devices that do the same.
