Where do y’all go when the cleaning lady shows up?

I’ve found I’ve needed to bounce around the house to answer calls and whatnot. I have a weekly service that comes in and cleans the house but damn if it isn’t inconvenient for meetings when that vacuum starts up. Just looking for tips to help work while keeping my house in order.

How many vacations do you take a year

Wherever I've stored the lotion

I am usually in my office with the door closed, on calls. That’s the one room that doesn’t get cleaned regularly.

Keep my office door shut & when she needs to do my office I take the dog out for a few minutes

We get home around the same time every day so I normally just lounge around.

And to be clear: my statement is not a compliment.

I go hang out on the back porch and watch TV or work. Or I leave and run errands.

That’s what I’ve noticed as well. I’ll close my door and my office never gets cleaned because my dumbass is always in there. Oh well.

Need to see pics of the cleaning woman before offering advice.

I just work on the opposite floor. Or run errands.

Coffee shop. Costco. Breakfast. 'Work'
Tell her to come back tomorrow or whenever. What cleaning person doesn't ok the time before showing up?

So you're part of a cleaning team rather than an independent operator?

When I have to clean up for the cleaning lady - it’s time to move on from having a cleaning lady. Stopped that shite years ago
“Oh the cleaning lady will be here tomorrow.. the house is a mess.. we have to clean it before she gets here!”
frick all that nonsense

Agree, it's a 15 minute job in the office, and she can read the room. Is now the time, or is Lemmy yelling at co-workers about how illiterate they are?
It probably also depends on your collaboration tool, and cell service. T-Mobile is so bad in my old hood I spent a lot of time in the H-E-B parking lot where I got service. Teams is decent at hand offs, the rest seem to suck.
Home theater is probably a safe place, since nobody uses it, and they know they need to spend six minutes cleaning it.

I pick up for ours. She's there to clean, not pick Legos and hot wheels up off the floor. And I make sure the sink is not full of dishes.
