Got a contract on mine a few days ago, now I’m searching. Hoping a sweet deal pops up soon. What did you baws do?

I've only bought 3 houses, but I'm not sure that's the usual way of doing it

You didn't have a plan?

move into jodies house
depends on the timeline and who else needs housing
if its just you and a week at the most then buy a fema trailer or sleep in the truck bed if you dont want to rent a hotel room, after the move make a hunting camp out of the fema trailer
if you are lucky, some houses can be rented just for 1 month at a time

Do you have a van and a river near by?

sold my mandeville house ten minutes after listing after Katrina. We had three weeks to move and nowhere to go
we got very (very) lucky, at the last minute

Rent or buy another house. What do you think people do?

Month to month rental. Live out of suitcase everything else in storage.
I got an offer from a random yankee that moved to town that was so far above the sq ft comps I had to do it. Was a very good call as we rolled it into a better home for cheaper nearby.
The rental period with small kids out of school blew nuts.

Lease back from the buyer if they don't need to move in right away

Do you not have kids? This seems very hasty and irrational.

Check with Stanka. He may have a place you can stay a while. Probably hook you up with some classy women too

Going in desperate is a good way to go at it.
