had this happen last year - not cool

We were set to sell-close and buy-close within a few days, and planned to stay at my parents' camp for that small gap.

The seller was a total stooge and completely f**ed up the deal. We had to wait months. Got too cold at the camp and took a clean but very mediocre and small apartment.

This is all stuff I can handle because, honestly, I could live out of the back of a truck with a sleeping bag if I had to. My wife was not okay withy it and the dogs hated the apartment. I would not own large dogs in a place like that. 2022 was not all that fun.

Also, I am not a fan of realtors. I have some as friends and family and they are good people, but the profession does not lend itself to good people.

Motel, RV, rent, live with friends or relatives. 5 times, at least, in the last 30 years my wife and I have packed up a house and a sizeable shop, put all but the essentials in storage, moved the essentials into a rental and then when the new place was closed moved everything again. It is not for the feint of heart...but folks do it.

Rent or buy another house. What do you think people do?

Exactly, what kind of question is this.
