What if police actually ticketed people for camping in left lane on the highway

some states do

They just need to legalize letting private citizens pit maneuver left lane campers. Maybe even incentivize it. Tax rebate or a free tv with video evidence of taking out a camper.

All it takes is one inconsiderate mouth breaker to cause so much traffic. I think they should ticket ppl and the fine should be 500+.

Now do illegal u-turns, passing on double lines, not using turn signals, driving with lights not on, running redlights, etc... I see these everyday going to from work.

This. The heavy freight traffic on I-10 is a huge issue. It’s not as bad on I-55 or I-20. So many trucks, and a lot of the younger drivers really aren’t very good.

That said, Nissan Altimas and (to a lesser extent) pickups with Texas plates that are horrific with left lane camping. It’s almost always a clapped out Altima.

More money to be made in litter violations.

I think every state has a law on the books but on one actually enforces it. I would make this a point of emphasis and be rolling in ticket money.

Left lanes should not have speed limits on the interstates.

You would also have to give tickets for tailgating and then; of course, speeding. Passing in the left lane does not mean you get a free pass for speeding. I know it is hard for some to logically understand that there is also a speed limit.
There is just a lot of give and take while driving busy highways.
