Damn I hate to see out of state companies ( Amazon or nexgen based out of florida) capitalize on our natural resources bc Louisiana folks are so dead set on keeping oil and gas industry lucrative and not willing to diversify our energy resources .
Yes its great to have oil and gas resources available in times of need. We should be saving those resources for a rainy day. And build up our hydro, solar and off shore wind RENEWABLE entergy resources. Versus depleting the non renewable resources we are lucky enough the have .
I anticipate some downvotes on this post . I just want the best for the people of Louisiana. Hopefully this will create some jobs. We need to step up our renewable energy resources as a state. It would only make us more resilient .

Solar is completely stupid and makes no sense from any technical aspect. The sun doesn’t always shine, and having frickhuge batteries isn’t practical.
Nuclear or gtfo

I think in Louisiana, any business is good business. For out of state companies, doing business in Louisiana is like settling for the OT2 at last call.

Don’t mind these farms in the Nevada desert, but seeing these panels in a big field instead of rows of sugarcane, rice, soybean, or cotton is weird. How much roundup do they have to use to keep weeds off of the solar panels?

Batteries don't have to be huge forever. Computer hardware like 30 years ago took up a whole room and had less storage than the phone I'm posting from.

You can frick right off with your wind and solar shite. Especially solar which ties up the land for God knows how long once the contents of the panel’s leach into the soil.
Guess you think we can grow food in a box since you’re so hell bent on fricking up thousands of acres of farm land for years and years.

Again, frick off. These solar farms create
1-2 permanent jobs after the initial construction ( performed by out of state contractors, thank you).
Nothing- and I mean nothing- positive will
Come from solar farms in this state. We’ll be stuck paying for the clean up of these defunct farms after the parent companies abandon
Them. That will happen as soon as the government quits subsidizing solar (think Solyndra).
I guess you’re some shady POS land man who read the thread earlier this week about the shite show solar farm leases are and how unscrupulous the solar companies and their reps are. What’s the matter? Someone posted some ugly truths so you wanted to try and knight for the alternative energy shite?

Explain to me how any of these are feasible and worth the time and money.

this right here, people dont realize how much a market impact this will make on products when there is solar on farms instead of crop
