if Vina was a catcher that'd be considered just "good baseball"...catchers get the shite knocked out of them all the time for blocking the baseline...whats the difference

He gave him a forearm to the head. I think that's the main issue here. Intent to injure was clearly there.

I thought it looked like he was just trying to knock the ball loose..don't base runners trying to score do that..throw a forearm into catchers as hard as they can

not saying its right or wrong..just if someone is in the baseline whats the difference running full steam into a catcher and another defender w the ball in the baseline

It's legal to try and continue in your base path. It's not legal to head hunt with intent to injure.
