RIP Warhawk he’s pumped somewhere. Thought about him after the Astros series

I’m ashamed I had forgotten about Warhawk.
Thanks for the reminder.

Where is ScubaBlake? I was a season ticket holder 2009-2015. Loving this.

Not sure his account is still active. He and I have had a text thread for as long as I can remember. He’s definitely loving this.

Wish we had won in 2011 so my grandpa could have witnessed it but my godfather/uncle (grandpas son) got to witness this tonight battling stage 4 throat cancer so thats pretty awesome

I watched every pitch of that season (and every one since).
I was a college kid then and it broke my fricking heart into a million pieces
REDEMPTION

Amen. I became a Rangers fan because my grandfather took me to Rangers games when I was a kid back in the late 80s/early 90s. In 2010 when the Rangers made the World Series I bought tickets for us and took him to game 5. Despite watching the Giants celebrate the Series win that night, it was special just being there with him and will always be a cherished memory. Now, in his late 80s and early stage Alzheimers, he finally got to see them win it. I can't tell you how much I wish I was in his living room watching it on TV with him instead of halfway across the country, but knowing he got to see the Rangers win the World Series in his lifetime is something Ill forever be thankful for.

Stuff like this is what makes sports the best. Your grandpa saw it. He had the best seat in the house.

Certainly erases the sting of Nelson Cruz’s error

I took my son to his 1st game in Arlington in 2003.
Sat in the heat and ate hot dogs. He was 3.
Went to tons of games together since we lived 10 min from the stadium.
Last night we cried and giggled on the couch together. He came over just to watch them clinch.
Go Rangers

Same. My grandpa lived in sticks north of Longview, Texas. I'd spend a lot of the summer up there and we would attend games. We were in the cheapest/highest seats possible but we were there

Where is Quidam? I don't know if he's happy or sad that we won.

To me, THIS is the love of baseball.

Congrats rangers fans. Not a rangers fan myself but I know there are lots of happy and proud Texans today, young and old. That will always put a smile on my face.

WarhawkTiger6 was one of my best friends in real life and the reason I started posting here. We were always 2 rangers fans lost in a sea of Astros around here

This year we watched all of the playoff games together except for the one game the D'Backs won. During the Astros series he got mad when their guys swung at bad pitches. He wasn't openly pulling for them, but because of Bregman, he wanted them to win.
In the WS he got mad when AZ players swung at bad pitches or screwed up. Again, he wasn't rooting for them, but I could tell he wanted them to win. As a St. Louis fan, he's always hated teams that sign the high dollar free agents, except for the Astros, who were always underdogs when they were in the NL..
