That is strange language that the season ticket holders would be allowed in for free at an opposing stadium.
Unless both teams put up the money for the stadium.
From the Curtis side of the story they did a lot to make it a home and home. What is the other side of the story?

I watched the video and feel like I’m still missing something. What’s the deal? Zachary got the home game last year. John Curtis got the Friday night game booked to host and now Zachary backs out.

Sounds like both sides never agreed to the venus and signed the final contract as such.

Hold the frick on, high schools have season ticket holders?

This board could use a good Zachary sucks thread.

Absolutely. The school keeps 100% of season ticket revenue, but has the split the gate with the opposing team.

Yes, high schools have season ticket holders.
I know people who buy season tickets from their rival high schools to make sure they are able to get into the rivalry games when they are on the road.

This. If your school does not have a season ticket program, they are missing out on a decent little bag.

Ascension high schools have always had season tickets

Most big programs have moved away from split gates.
Guaranteed payments to traveling teams makes dealing with things like season tickets much easier.

Once again adults overshadowing the game on the field which should be about the kids

So Zachary backed out because they wanted their season ticket holders to get into an away game for free? Plus get paid by Curtis an agreed amount?
I never heard of season tix getting you into an away game, but I guess if that was the deal agreed on, why does it change now? Must have been some misunderstanding of the contract.

I heard it was a crime issue…. Zachary didn’t want to play there because of safety issue.

It’s a thing in the Catholic League… may have something to do with teams sharing the stadiums

Zachary is claiming that the contract was for two years at Zachary and that JC offered to let Zachary season ticket holders in for free in return for moving the second game to River Ridge.
It would still be a huge financial loss for Zachary.
