The SEC Rant's wet dream. It would be called the death penalty bowl.

Is it financially worth it to go to a lesser bowl? Seriously. What is the break-even for getting the team and the band to a bowl?
LSU fans are not traveling to see that, unless you score Bucs tickets, want to go to the beach, or something.

LOTS of great breweries. Cigar City is a couple of miles south of the stadium. Grab some brews, tailgate in their lot, go to the game.

I mean, did many people have us beating Florida? I read a million times on here how we wouldn't win another SEC game after Kentucky. We could definitely lose out, but we're talented enough that we can pull one out too.

LSU IS RANKED AT 42
That will be a low ranked bowl game

The extra practices are very valuable. In this case with a new head coach it’d be a good chance for him to get a look at the roster. I don’t think the cost would be a deterrent.

No. It’s a money loser; however, you get to practice for an extra 30 days (approximately). It is a big deal for the younger players to get these extra reps.

Praying that we get a P5 school if we make a bowl. Don’t feel like watching LSU get boat raced by a G5 team.

LSU can beat either Arkansas or A&M. Stop acting like those teams are unbeatable. This season has sucked but keeping A&M out of a NY6 bowl wouldn’t be a bad way for O to go out.

It’s a slamming of the door.

We absolutely can, but not if O mails it in like last week.

Any revenue earned by a team for a berth in a bowl game goes directly to the conference and is then distributed according to each conference’s own rules. After covering a specified amount of travel expenses, most conferences divide all bowl revenue equally between full members (with an equal share calculated in for the conference office), with the SEC being the notable exception.

The SEC exception is for bowl games with receipts of $4,000,000 – $5,999,999, the participating team retains $1.5 million, plus a travel allowance determined by SEC. For bowl games with receipts of $6 million or more (including all College Football Playoff games), the participating team receives $2.025 million, plus a travel allowance determined by the SEC. If an SEC team makes it to the championship game, it receives another $2.125 million, plus travel allowance.

Tigers would have their hands full with SMU and the AAC. The AAC IS losing some good teams to the Big 12.

We will need to beat Arkie or A&M and ULM to get to 6 wins. With 55 scholarship players on our team and available to play now, getting to 6 wins is highly unlikely.
