Out of respect for wining 2019 NC
unless he blows up or does something immoral/criminal
He stays
The next HC will have agreed to terms secretly by the time he is let go

What about the blatant lack of respect he’s shown towards the program and his position since 2019?

5-7 is a shot in the dark.

I agree let's have this retard show up everyday from now through November 27th and continue to find new ways to embarrass our state, our university, and our brand.

I think he should be out
But he did win a nc so that’s why they may wait

If Woodward does decide to wait until the end of the season to fire him, which I think he will, it sure as shite won't be out of respect

The fact that the SECW is *technically* still within reasonable* reach is why you're not hearing anything leaking out, and is why people pushing the panic button after UK are premature. Once that changes this weekend, I think things are going to get considerably hotter, and the manner in which LSU loses could cause things to change rapidly.
*reasonable in the sense that LSU doesn't need much help, not reasonable in the sense that it's a realistic outcome.

So you’re saying, at this point, Ed Orgeron deserves respect????

Totally agree. Woodward is a business man. He's not going to be pressured into short-circuiting the process he's had underway for some time. Fans are fans...they want blood when things go south. He knew he was firing O when people on here were complaining about how the media hates LSU...How being ranked #16 in pre-season was criminal...ect.
He also knows that, while fans want Ed run off immediately, the most important thing is to get the right. Fans are fickle. They'll come pouring back in by the droves once the new hire his made.
He can't afford to be impatient and he won't be just to pacify fans. He'd rather deal with a couple more months of football purgatory than to coalesce around the mob mentality that O has created against him.
Like you said...this has NOTHING to do with O and EVERYTHING to do with the process he believes will result in the best possible hire.
BTW....I want him to throw O out on his butt too but this season isn't gonna change regardless so good on him for plying this close to the vest!

If he loses the next two games he could be fired during the bye week giving the interim coach and remaining staff 2 weeks to make the transition away from Orgeron.

I expect O knows it's inevitable at this point and he'd prefer to get it over with. But he can't quit and still ask for his buyout. So he has to soldier on until Woodward feels he has his move set. It's not a kindness to O, it's business .

I think he’s gone at the bye week. Gives the interim two weeks to get his feet wet

I like letting him ride it out for a few reasons:
1. Eff O and he deserves all the losses on his official record.
2. Nothing is fixable by firing him. We don't have the personnel or coaches to fix our issues. We aren't winning any extra games this year by firing O.
3. It isn't fair to stick O's problems and losses on an interim coach.
4. Irreparable harm isn't being done.
5. Letting him ride it out shows future coaches that our AD isn't an emotional basket case prone to erratic decisions like Alleva was.

nah
the only thing this decision should be made on, is what is in the best interest of the program (first) and players (second).
Orgeron is due nothing and frankly hasn't given that same respect to this job since 2019. Personally, he has fallen apart.

Common sense says Ed O stays. All he is guilty of is losing his drive and focus and then slacking. It's not like he is deliberately sabotaging the Tigers and losing games intentionally.
Damn, all this blind hatred towards Ed O is utterly unhinged.
You know in the coaching profession, one day you are a hero and then another day you are a zero.
People need to chill out.

Really? Blatant lack of respect? Okay, detail that for us.
I mean the dude loves LSU! He just lost his focus and drive and as a direct result, the program has slipped and now he is losing his job because of it.
Some of you guys make it sound like Ed O is a serial rapists or guilty of cold-blooded murder.

The frick it is, he was PAID for that. They don't owe him anything.
