On 6 PM sports video segment on WAFB Burrow was asked what he said to his offensive teammates in the huddle before the first play of the game winning drive.

He said he knew he had to keep them from getting too uptight so he said he walked into the huddle, looked around at his team and said, “Hi, guys, how’s it going?”

Eta: I may not have his exact quote but it’s close. The more I reflect on it he may have said, “What’s up, guys? How’s it going?”

That would have been awesome, but I'm betting there's some on this board too young to understand that reference lol

Montana did something similar in the Super Bowl against the Bengals (second one). Harris Barton , all pro o lineman, is noticeably anxious. Joe looks at him and says “Hey H, look at John Candy in the front row. He is eating a big arse popcorn”. Broke everyone up. He drive them down for the game winning TD right after that

Nothing is better than Peyton Manning’s first live game huddle his freshman year at Tennessee.

PM: “alright guys, let’s drive down the field for a score right now”

Lineman: “shut the frick up and call the play.”

That my friends is a winner. That’s how you do it! If he can get in the 60% completion ratio (and I believe he can with time and help from his receivers once they really get in a rhythm), he may become an absolute legend at LSU.

Sounds like the confidence of a former great Tiger QB. Bert Jones, about to head back on the field with one tick left versus Ole Miss, just looked at Coach Mac and winked.
