Would LSU ever have the balls to pull a Deion Sanders?

…. by that I mean, pulling the scholarships of players on defense who are walking around the field and not pulling their own weight.
It’s a bit extreme, but boy would that set a fricking example to walk into a team meeting and choose 5 scholarship players who have been loafing around every game and tell them to get the frick out

I don't have any issues with a coach demoting or free agency'ing a player. If they are not up to snuff and keeping another player from getting a scholarship then off they go. Probably will never happen here.

What a dumb post. This isn't a thing. Coaches can't pull a scholarship midseason because the player sucks. Also, what good would that do anyway? Why not just bench the player? Again, this post is extremely dumb and not possible.

NCAA announced Transfer Portal Window shrunk today. CBK better talk to these players. Imagine Lane Kiffin and Coach Prime telling our players sit out starting November.

Why do that and look like the villian. Just make them sit the bench until they decide to transfer and you dont have to deal with all the negativity.

As for pulling scholarships, that "processing" should be done in the off-season. And I'm completely fine with telling a guy he needs to go.

Say what you want about Deion but when you strip away the media circus he's actually an old school hard arse coach. He culled the herd and straight up told the bad players from a 1-11 team to get out or he would pull the scholarship and now they are markedly better. Not a lot of coaches these days would be that straight forward and tell a kid how it is.

I’ll admit that I’m not a fan of “hip hop” rap music but I hear it constantly at neighborhood events and the country club on family day. For some reason, he’s able to connect to those 5 star players and their parents. And he does it all through Instagram.

From my understanding, scholarships are year-to-year contracts, so he can't just "pull" a scholarship until the end of the year.

Because scholarships are basically year long contracts. They can kick them off the team I suppose if they really want to, but they can't take away their scholarship.

These are very young adults and you’re a shitty person if you think this is cool. I get that Coach Prizzime is a shock marketing grifter piece of shite who’s well on his way to going 5-7 in the limelight and y’all think that’s the greatest thing ever for some reason, but I’d rather take an adult’s approach and have a leader who can elevate kids who are underperforming and improve their lives rather than kicking them to the curb to make ESPN headlines.
