Has this been discussed? I was shocked at BK for running up the middle trying to score on first down and even more shocked that Arkansas didn't let our RB rumble into the end zone so they could get the ball back with more than 1:30 on the clock.

I do not believe we tried to score. Maybe I am wrong.

I don't think LSU would have scored, they would have gone down
Ark had a better shot of trying to strip the football or block a fg
Burning the timeouts in the 3rd quarter is what doomed them

They 100% should have let LSU score. Lost the game with their best player on the sidelines.

Correct. BK said after the game that we ran “barrier” where they wanted to run clock and protect the ball.

With no TO's they should have let them score plus considering how bad the LSU secondary was playing.

But they shouldn't have been in that position to make that decision. Dummies having to blow all their TO's on offense is what put them in that position.

I certainly didn't like the way BK went about it either.

Seriously, I would have told the D to simply lay down on 1st down. Bait LSU into scoring

With how bad our defense was playing they should have done this. They had a shot to score but their coach was dumb

I was shocked our coach burned all his timeouts to give AR two more shots at a score and win.

Down by one , that is the play. He wouldve been crucified if he willingly gave LSU the lead in a tie game. You have a better chance of a fumble or missed Fg than going the length of the field with no timeouts and also getting a 2 pt conversion.

Burning the timeouts wasn’t the problem, it was when they were burned.

And there was only one “shot” left at the end.

Pittman discusses this. He thought that after LSU called TO on first that they would not score. Thought their best chance was force a fumble or block FG.

There was the kickoff which had better odds of pitching it around and a broken score.

Then there was the last play.

Those are two chances that should’ve never happened.

I wonder how long an offensive player can just stand near the goalline without scoring when the defensive player refuses to tackle them? Will the refs allow him to stand there for 60 seconds? I assume the refs would allow it and the defensive team would attempt to push him in without tackling him, weird.

Diggs was clearly trying to get yards. Would he have gone down at the 1 maybe I guess.

You would think LSU running backs would stop and go down just short of goal line and let clock run. Of course, Arkansas defense could drag him over goal line.
