Jayden Daniels misses reads and panics, here ya go. He leaves way too much on the field. This isn't a start Nuss thread, but it is a Jayden should do a whole lot better thread.

Dude is a 5th year senior and was supposed to improve his passing ability clearly that did not happen. He is who he was last year.

Don't have time to watch all 80 minutes, but just watching his analysis of the first series is maddening enough.
Bad reads on RPOs and lack of understanding of where WRs will end up in two or three more steps are glaring.

I haven’t had time to watch most of it. If you watch the first play after the personal foul, we handoff to Josh Williams for nothing. If Jayden pulls that ball as should have (the defensive end committed to the RB) he scores easy. Not only can Jayden not read a secondary, he also struggles with the read on the option. He did this several times against FSU. It’s time for a change.

Thanks for this! Really great breakdowns of our mishaps. It was a total collection of bad play calls, bad reads by the QB, suspect blocking at times.

Good stuff, thanks for sharing. Actually, as bad as Jayden screwed these plays up, it looks like most of this stuff is coachable and correctable. It's not like we don't have the players to get it done. They just need to get better. We just have to hope they do just that.

Why show this garbage?!! People on here can’t handle the TRUTH about McDaniels. Just let them have their season and be done with it!!

I wish our coaching staff had the balls to make a change. I'm not saying Nuss is the answer, but I am saying that he gives us a much better chance to not only score points but to also get the ball in our playmaker's hands. It's going to be a long year watching Jayden trudge through the playbook without knowing how to be a weapon or use his weapons ineffectively!

I watched the entire video. Did Jayden miss some plays. yes. Did he make more than a few plays with his legs and arm. Yes. Did the drops affect the game. yes. Was the play calling questionable. yes. Was Fl St that good. Yes. There is no guarantee starting Nuss would have made a difference. We had many too many drops and a guard that was totally dominated. And like he said with Perkins learning a new position Fl St is the worst team you could start off with. That is a Sr/jr laden team with a great QB and elite receivers. We will be there in the next couple of years but we still have a lot to play for and we were 6-8 plays away from making that a different game. Let's see how they perform on the road at Moo St. yes Jayden needs to play better but he also needs better play calling and receivers that catch the ball when it does hit their hands. Jayden didn't win the game but he didn't lose it either.

Agree with all your points here. Well said.

Exactly. He didn’t win the game because he can’t. He does just enough each game to say well he didn’t lose it. He didn’t do anything to win it either. He’s average at best. Our defense is not good enough to not put up points. Daniels is nothing but a stat pumper. He’s a facade. Half his pass yards came from a blunder in the secondary against backups and a well designed play to the RB where he threw it 5 yards. Anyone that can’t see he holds us back is blind.

I watched all of this...
I believe Jayden gives LSU the best chance to win. He doesn't turn it over, his running abilities are exceptional, but he is an average at best passer. He will NOT throw the ball unless the WR is wide open or it's a short pass. He does not see receivers down the field. He cannot read a defense or even a defensive end on a zone read run. It seems like most of his decisions are predetermined. Needless to say, he is the exact same QB he was last season and that is very frustrating and concerning.

They can’t handle the truth about Nuss either. If he were significantly better, he would be on the field. Neither QB is any good. That’s where we are. You can accept that fact or keep living in your fantasy world.

You know this how? You been to practices? It could even be true that he does give us a better chance at getting the ball to playmakers but maybe our playmakers just aren’t that good, or maybe playing Nuss takes away from something else that JD does that would be even more catastrophic to the offense. Maybe Nuss is too much of a wildcard and throws interceptions (something far worse than not being able to throw the ball down the field).
The point is, there’s more to it to account for than just “me like when ball go long ways”. And I highly doubt any of you know better than the experts who are actually deciding who plays.
I’m fine with calling the season a wash and playing Nuss. This team isn’t likely making the playoffs regardless who the QB is.

Just like the FSU QB did to LSU. Walked right in untouched no one within 10yds.

Your logic suggest that no head coach has ever made a personnel mistake simply because he’s a head coach. Your logic is deeply flawed.

I should post the receipts of times last year when I said Daniels is nothing more than a mid level PAC 12 QB. Right now he would only be the 6th best QB in the PAC 12 behind Williams, Penix, Nix, Rising, and Sanders.
Think about that. We're trying to win an SEC and CFP Championship with the 6th best qb in the Pac 12. JHC Bama's QB is what the Rant thinks Daniels is. But he's not.

Go away, Coach O. You were fired. Go find a bimbo in Florida.
