I didn't realize that we did not get a first down in the 2011 SECG until the 3rd quarter. The offensive woes started before the Nati that year.

With the final score being a blowout it seems insane to say but if weren’t for TM7 and the momentum he provided we very well could’ve lost that game.

I love Jefferson’s heart but man am I glad I don’t have to hold my breath for every single snap while we’re on offense.

The officiating in this game was definitely in our favor.

Would LSU have been better off losing?

Makes Alabama’s loss less impressive but LSU gets in over Bama and it might have kept Bama out.

I know he threw a (really short) TD in this game. But I always thought he played worse here than he did on 1/9/12.

Losing that game wouldve resulted in us winning the national championship, id have been cool with that

I was just watching that as well and I was also amazed as well. To think that we scored the next 42 points to win going away was unreal!

Damn shame J Lee didn’t get a chance. JJ was a terrible QB.

JJ completed 5 passes for 30 yards and had -5 rushing yards and we still won 42-10. That's how good the rest of our team was.

The writing was on the wall for what was to come against Bama. Although JJ played pretty well against Bama in the first matchup, his issues and Miles' belief that LSU would just win doing the same stuff over and over was a recipe for disaster.

What a huge disappointment that National Champion game was. In a game like that you have to change things up on the fly, stubborn coaching lost that game for LSU.

Well, it did work all season and against some very good teams.

We did coast in on fumes but this was one of those seasons where you could and should have declared the MNC before the bowls.

Not like 2019 where you had 3 undefeated P5 teams that needed to settle it on the field.

My brother and I noted the 0 first downs at the time.
And Les acted like nothing was wrong. SMH.

Matthieu single-handedly changed the momentum of this game - and the Arkansas game before it.

It certainly did. It's just that Bama was slightly surprised when we put JJ in and ran the option quite a bit the first around. Their D was elite and they were ready the second time for what they saw in the first game.
