One guy still doesn’t play school very well and in his 5th year so it’s time to move along, and Godwin isn’t ready to practice and all the other guys are young.
Williams is a deserving fan favorite and is a steady Eddie but not a game changer.

Yes our line will most definitely help next year, but this position to me is the weakest link on the team.

Someone talk me down off of thinking this is our kryptonite.

I prefer Curley’s use of Achilles tendon when talking about team weaknesses.

That’s why we have Daniels, he doubles as a qb and a RB

Just having fun “bro”. If you’re that thin skinned, I feel sorry for you.

You’re the a-hole who completely ruins threads trying to be a goddamn English teacher on a message board.

Emery will be fine for fall and nobody will remember this. It’ll be the same RBBC as 2022 plus the two freshmen.

we may be able to get a transfer after the spring depth charts hit. I'm sure there is a #2 somewhere who is looking for a better spot. A #2 who is is essentially a 1B to their current teams 1A

It was a weakness this year as well. Need Emery to play like his future depends on it (which it does), Goodwin to step up and stay healthy, and Holly to make a splash.

Williams, Emory, Cain, Goodwin, Holly, and Jackson.

We will be just fine.

That’s what worries me. The two new guys are great but not everyone understands the demand Kelly has on RB who start.
Emery has nothing but disappoint being unreliable off the field and in turn unreliable on the field. Frustrating as hell. SOB has the chance of his lifetime for a degree and start for LSU and he rather screw off. For him to continue to have problems this is on him no more excuse for this kid.

OL is more important than RB in the running game.

Really not that great of a lineup if Emery can’t hold on to the ball and Goodwin or Holly separate themselves. No big time playmaking game changers.

Daniels will make up for the substandard RB room and some fans will hate him for it.

Josh Williams was the best RB on the team last year and I would hope he’s fully healed by fall practice. Think Cain is back too then you add the 2 FR RB’s and depth is decent. If Emery can somehow stay in school it’s just lagniappe at this point.

While not a game changer, Williams is a capable and reliable back who was a key component in many of LSU's wins last season. Daniels is essentially LSU's best "RB". When the offense struggled, it wasn't because LSU couldn't run the ball (even if much of that running was from the QB). It was because they struggled with consistency in the passing game.

CHE wasn't necessarily a game-breaking RB in 2019. Defenses didn't necessarily fear him as a "home run" threat. He was just incredibly reliable and consistent with a knack for making hugely important plays at the biggest moments. To a large degree, that was what Williams did this year. He had a big game vs. Florida. He made two huge plays late vs Alabama, without which, LSU may not win the game. He was almost the entire offense vs. Arkansas on a day Daniels couldn't do anything running or passing.

While it is great to have one, you don't HAVE to have a big time RB to be successful as long as you have one that is consistent and reliable. Williams is that...which allows Emery to do what he's always done at LSU...make a few huge plays here and there
