I thought 35 was dugout maximum per game for eligibility.

There will be 38. 35 regular and 3 Covid year guys. The remaining guys will redshirt. At least three pitchers are out with injury and will redshirt.

Start at 42. Need to get to 38 or 35 plus 3 covid srs - dugas merrifield beloso.

So subtract covid srs and you are at 39. Subtract the 3 known med redshirts - bollman noot applebey. Now you are at 36. Coleman is the other likely redshirt

If Coleman is cleared and goes to active roster, who is the other redshirt to get us to 35?

My guess is Hellmers Paul or Bronzini.

You may want to tell Jay he’s wrong. That info was from the press conference the other day.

Or maybe you know better and would care to enlighten us?

People always act like Project is wrong.

Johnson said it himself.

Who will be the 4th player to redshirt if Coleman is a go?

There was a poster last year that said Project didn't know much about baseball. Lol.

I think Bronzini, Paul and Frey will have the hardest time seeing the field but they all have the talent to play this year. Bronzini would leave us with only 18 pitchers. Frey has an outside chance to DH. So Paul makes the most sense to me. That's no shot at Paul, who can play at this level.

Would be really nice to have Coleman, I just don't expect that to happen but to have the opportunity less than a full year from the surgery is quite impressive. Kudos to him and his rehab.

Helmers is an important part of the team . He won’t redshirt , especially being a junior.

Lol remember when Paul started him at 3rd?

He’ll be like the 6-7th RH out of the pen & 10th or 11 guy overall. Unless multiple injuries occur, he won’t see many high leverage appearances at all.

gotta be thinking where he is late april/may and how much he could help.. thats where it matters... he would play 1/3rd of the year for a trip to Omaha and shot at the title..
