Ole Miss game is really CBS' only option for 2:30 that weekend

SIAP. Don't see anyway around it.
Week 8 matchups:
Unranked A&M at Unranked South Carolina
Unranked Vanderbilt at Unranked Missouri
FCS Tennessee Martin at 8 Tennessee
9 Ole Miss at 25 LSU
23 Miss St at 1 Alabama
Alabama and Tennessee will be on CBS the weekend before so very unlikely CBS picks up Miss St at Bama.

Rather it be a night game somehow.

If MSU beats Arky, that could look like a very attractive game.

Tennessee vs LSU should have been this week's 2:30 CBS option. But CBS chose then #1 Georgia.
Don't rule them out picking #1 Alabama. Besides, they are Gary's favorite team. And,as Gary told Finebaum one time, they are his favorite SEC fans and the most knowledgeable.

That would mean 4 straight weeks of Alabama on CBS. Even CBS won't do that. LSU v Ole Miss is going to be on CBS

CBS loves Bama games. $$$$$$

I think the limit is 5 times per team. If CBS is smart, they'll save one of their Bama showings for the Iron Bowl. So I'm bracing for 2:30.

Ole Miss will be 7-0 going into the LSU game. It should be a good one.

Damn it. The one game a year I go to is gonna be a 2:30 game....
And it's homecoming.

Same here. It sucks, but at least it's not 11 AM.

But if CBS is allowed to show a maximum of 5 games per year for a team things get interesting.
This weekend's game will be Alabama's 3rd game on CBS which leaves 2 games for the rest of year. We can assume the Iron Bowl will be a lock for CBS as it has been the last decade.
That would leave just one CBS game left for Alabama. Two options: Alabama vs LSU on November 5th or Alabama at Ole Miss on November 12th.
I predict CBS will pass on LSU/Alabama in favor of Georgia/Tennessee allowing CBS to pick Alabama/Ole Miss (Saban vs Kiffin) the following week.
This would also mean that LSU vs Alabama should be a 6PM kick off in Tiger Stadium!

CBS has used up their 5 game Bama limit in the past, so ESPN was able to show the Iron Bowl. But UGA-UT is still a pretty good choice, if I were CBS, that's what I'd choose.

You are correct. It’s going to be 2:30 and it fricking sucks.

Yeah I didn't mean to put that there. Got paste happy.

Auburn will probably be 4-7 with an interim coach by the time the Iron Bowl gets here. I could see CBS passing on that game in favor of LSU-Texas A&M.
