First time ever at Tiger Stadium on 10/8. Recommendations on food/must-do's?

Tennessee fan here. First time ever going to Baton Rouge next weekend. I realize you all play this weekend, but I wanted to ask if any locals on here had recommendations as for food or anything that is unique to the area to see/do. Thanks!

First thing you must do is bitch about the kickoff time.

Hope you like Bourbon and pancakes.

Hope you arent sitting in upper deck east side. You're gonna die from heat stroke.

Hate that it’s a day game. You won’t get the full effect. Maybe check out Ruffinos Friday night for dinner. Make friends on campus before and after the game and you will eat well. Also, ignore the assholes on this board

That's where we are. 642. First row. Probably could have been in 402-404, but we are bringing our full band with us. So, they'll take up a good portion of 404.

Appreciate it! Will do. We have our own of those, but I like to think majority of our fan base (that actually travels to games like this) are quality people.

It's not just going to be east side

Not sure where you are staying, but maybe try to hit up Coffee Call early for some quick beignets and cafe ole. I've always found Coffee Call to be reliable, though haven't been in a few years. If you can make dinner reservations, I'd recommend that. The good news is that with an 11 am kickoff you could actually drive down to New Orleans for dinner somewhere.

Not sure east/west matters with this kick time. Gonna suck for both.

My wife's friends live in NOLA. We live in DFW, TX. So, the plan is to drive in on Friday morning and make a day of it before the early kick on Sat. Thank you for your suggestions!

Not much time to tailgate
Early morning traffic will not be fun and prepare to sit in after game traffic
Fri night eat at Roberto’s maybe hit up lauberge casino or eat at chimes on campus
Morning early brunch somewhere

Sucks that the TV times are robbing you of the experience.

Stay off of Government St and Airline Hwy by Goodwood after dark.

Pick a different game. Will be like a golf crowd.
