We would like to be parked by 9 or 930 am at the latest. We have a parking pass in lot 407 if that helps any.

If you plan on rolling into campus at 8:50 and being parked by 9 you might be in for a rude awakening. Would be lucky to make the beginning of the game.

This is the right answer. I live in Nashville and say all the time, I want TN to be consistently good. Y'all play BAMA and FL every year just like we do. So it is beneficial for both teams if we make those games difficult. I expect the fan bases to get along pretty well considering its a big game and its early in the AM.

I can pull for TN as long as they aren't playing the Tigers!

Yup. I have always considered LSU the least adversarial team in the SEC for Tennessee. Both our enemies and the cultural quirks of the two fanbases overlap a lot. Of course things will be heated on the actual day we play each other, but outside of that I never find myself wanting LSU to lose unlike most everyone else in the conference. All I have to say to LSU fans is "frick Alabama" and immediately there is a bond.

It honestly wouldn’t be a bad idea to hangout for a while after the game to. I doubt people leave immediately so there should be a lot of tailgaters still out and about. Just a thought

I would be on campus no later than 8, for a few reasons. You won't hate yourself in traffic trying to get parked, and you can actually enjoy the GameDay experience on campus.

Since the game is so early I’d like to go to a bar and hangout to watch football all day. I don’t want to go to a college bar with a bunch of 18-23 year olds. What are some good sports bar recommendations for adults and have a bunch of TVs close by

Zippys for sure. The food is okay, but its cheap drinks, a ton of TVs, and a cool atmosphere. Mid City Beer Garden is also another good spot. Both are in nice entertainment districts so you can easily walk or drive to other surrounding restaurants/bars

I’ll be flying in from DFW for the game. I always stay at the Renaissance on Bluebonnet Blvd. It’s the nicest hotel near campus imo. Cheers and enjoy the game, regardless of the start time!

I appreciate this post, making my first trip to Tiger Stadium. So ive been taking notes too.

Also, i booked a room at Baton Rouge west inn. Says its 6 miles from Tiger Stadium. I am kinda curious though, why does it say it would take over 2 hours to get there by bicycle if its 6 miles away?
Im not taking a bicycle to the game anyway, just curious what kinda roadway from a 13 min drive to a over 2hr bicycle ride.

Baton Rouge west inn

This is in Port Allen. You can't bike over the Mississippi River Bridge so the route is likely taking you north over the old bridge. I wouldn't recommend attempting either.

Don't wear your feelings on your sleeve. If LSU fans are picking and shouting "Tiger bait" at you then go back right back at them. Just make it fun. True LSU fans love when a fan from other universities " chatter back" . You do that and make it fun, they will be inviting you to drink free and eat their food.. Wear your gear and back your team. Don't waste time going to other places in Baton Rouge. Head straight to the stadium and get there early. Enjoy the football morning.

This is the truth. You’ll get “tiger baited” and called at…..but it’ll all be in good fun. You can give it right back to them as long as it’s all in good spirits. Before long, you will be some Cajun lady’s out of town son, and her husband will be feeding you etoufee and bourbon.

Sincerely hope you have a good time.

Go see Mike the Tiger, the band and team walk down the hill to enter the stadium right by Mikes habitat. Even though you arent an LSU fan its cool to watch the band come down the hill
