Per Kirk Bohls of the Austin American Statesman ... Formal invite to be announced. Big XII presidents have already voted in favor of adding TCU ...

Big East may be on death watch ...

Big East might as well become the NE Catholic School basketball league.

When they join the BIG XII, that will have been SIX conferences for TCU since '95.

So does the Big East file suit against TCU and/or Big 12 now?

Can't do that! UT is way too powerful and wealthy to attack...not to mention the fact that the Baylor Baptist are backing UT with prayers.

Money and religion is hard to beat!!!!!

And, again, suck it Baylor. And a heart frick you for 1994.

For the uninitiated, Baylor and TCU were/are huge rivals, and Baylor threw the Big XII invite in TCU's face for YEARS.

Look who's laughing now, bitches.

I expect WVU AD Oliver Luck to show up outside the SEC HQ holding up a boombox blaring Peter Gabriel shortly.

If they don't get into the SEC, then they're at the mercy of the Big 12's whims.

Everyone in Oklahoma is unjustifiably pumped about TCU--they think it's the Big XII savior. Unfortunately this team (that's lost to Baylor and SMU this year mind you) adds nothing of significance: No fan base outside of their small alumni, no decent sized stadium, no television sets, nothing really. The Big XII is done. Adding another passenger to a sinking ship doesn't stop the ship from sinking.

So now the Big East invites basically all of CUSA East, right? UCF, ECU, maybe Memphis...

I like Gary Patterson, and I like TCU. You are correct, though. TCU is a SMALL school and dfw is just not a college football town.
