You people are insane for melting about a potential Brian Kelly hire -

You people are fricking insane for thinking a Brian Kelly hire is anything less than very, very good. It’s likely great. It is not easy to win like he has at Notre Dame these days, he has shown the willingness to change when things aren’t working, he recruits well, he hires strong assistants, and he built Cincinnati before any of these other guys did out of a crap pile. Everyone knocks his age like 60 is on his death bed. He’s got 10 years left at least, shite Saban just turned 70 and Kelly is a workaholic just like Saban.
He is as proven as it gets outside of a guy that has won a national title and there aren’t many of those out there.

Lol not everyone coaches until they’re 70.. it’s very rare in fact.
Motivation is a concern at that age

Not everyone is a workaholic careerist with a burning desire to win a shite ton of football games at the top level of college football.

If the name Lincoln Riley had never come up in this search we would be over the moon about possibly nabbing Brian Kelly.

This is the 2nd thread admonishing the board for not liking Kelly in the last 3hrs.

Here’s the thing. The only reason Kelly leaves a very comfortable situation at ND for life in the SEC is to get what he hasn’t been able to- a title. He’s not doing that if he’s planning to hit the retirement home by 65. IF he comes here, it’s an all-in, chips to the center move to get a ring. He could get a raise to stay where he is.

He's good for 4-5 years MAX. Not a program building hire. Has gone 3-13 against top ten teams. Requires unique personnel to run his outdated offense. Poor cultural fit. These are reasons to not have him as our fricking No. 1,2, or 3 guy in this search.

I think we all just wanted a youth injection into the program

Not true dude he's 60. He would be doing it strictly for the money right now.

People who don’t like Brian Kelly are not knowledgeable football fans, or are worried about things that have nothing to do with winning football games. Like: He wOnT fIt OuR cUlTuRe.

I hate Dabo but would literally prefer him over Kelly.

No thanks. Please let him stay at Notre Dame.

Say what you want but culture and fit matters especially when 90% of your players are black. Also he don't play nobody. Everytime he plays food teams like Bama he gets waxed.

As I said in the other thread, what he’s running at the moment hasn’t always been “his offense.” He ran an up-tempo spread with more balance at Cincy several years ago. I think he runs his current system in part because of where he is. ND fans have always preferred power football and he’s given them what they wanted post-Charlie Weiss.

Hard to win at ND? I’d give my left one to play their schedule every year.
