You have to respect Napier

OutKick - Napier doing double duty
It has to be such a challenge for new Florida head coach Billy Napier to juggle two college football jobs at the same time, but it sounds like he has a plan. The soon-to-be former Louisiana coach is preparing his team for a conference championship game on Saturday, while also getting things off the ground in Gainesville, trying to find the balance needed to handle both.
Napier made it clear on Monday that his current goal is to win a championship at Louisiana, focusing most of his attention on finishing what he started with his current players. You have to give him credit for sticking it out with his current team, as most coaches would bolt for the next job as soon as they signed a contract. Napier made it clear that there was never a doubt he would coach his team on Saturday before moving forward with the Gators.

He's just doing his job. Why should people be rewarded for doing what they're supposed to do?

You gotta wonder, with the current transfer rules, Schools will probably frown from allowing this in the future. Gives your current coach more time to evaluate and 'recruit' over the current players with him to the new school.
Schools are gonna wanna sever contact as soon as possible with their coaches to try and stem the tide

Given the short length of time coaches have to turn programs around, this seems foolish.
He's wasting time when UF needs to be recruiting like heck

College football is nowhere close to working class America. A regular person def wouldn’t work two jobs after leaving one of them. Would finish out your time at current job, while not doing the next job. Or leave the current job altogether and start on the next one.
To think what Napier is doing is normal is just dumb thinking.

well he's collecting a salary for both.

Never half arse two things, only whole arse one thing.

No, actually if I were Florida, I would not allow it. Or they shouldn’t have announced it this early. By trying to do 2 jobs, usually you end up doing neither one well.

This. I'd be pissed if I were a UF or UL fan. He is shortchanging both programs. Either stick around until after the championship game. Or pack your shite and gtfo.

Even Billy knows their “co-championship” in 2020 is a farce.

I'm sure that was one of the stipulations. He is probably using most of his time to recruit for florida while letting his coaches handle the game planning.

Isn't he technically getting paid to do both? He went on air begging out of Lafayette, so he should do what he asked for and leave.

Lol he's been their coach all season. In most cases 2-4 years. He's going to UF. He could have left last month and still had his pick of ULLs roster.
