There is not another Saban out there. As long as Saban is in the game everyone is his bitch.

Lincoln Riley wants the torch

Would be Totally symbolic of CFB in general … Saban/defensive background handing it over to Lincoln and the offense

We’ll look back years from now and say that was the official end of defense in CFB

He can't coach forever. Someone got to take the title after. Might as well be LSU's next head coach!

Yep! It’s the same people chasing that 2019 Brady offense

And come to grips about something else too….

Saban ain’t Saban without the REC, the propaganda arm (espn) and the ncaa commissioner in his back pocket.

Saban has another tear or two of dominance.

It's time to get the coach for the future. Stop being a pussy

Nah. The pendulum will eventually swing back the other way. May take a decade or two but the opposite side always catches up

Well, in fairness, our rather dense current HC managed to win an undefeated NC despite having Saban in the same division. Hardly being a bitch. Point is, even Saban can't stop LSU from periodically winning NC's. Imagine what a great coach could accomplish here.

Right. He won one championship without all that. Lost at least three games each of the other years @ LSU. Obviously though he transformed the program and laid the groundwork for what followed.

Don’t get me wrong. He is a great coach. But what has elevated him to arguably the GOAT are the factors which are unique to Alabama. Everyone has bagmen - the REC operates at a completely different level. That’s why he’s had the #1 recruiting class for an unprecedented 12 of 14 years (or whatever it is). DJ Fluker? Ncaa looks the other way. Finish 3rd in the SEC? Don’t worry, ESPn will hype you into the playoff.

Heck, I didn’t even mention the SEC “bridge” schedules where It just happens to work out that Bama can’t play UGA and gets UK instead.

This Bama team is nowhere near "dominant". Very beatable.

As was 2019 (we did)

Saban just has top talent yearly which inflates his "worth".

You guys keep thinking Riley. He was given a program that routinely a 1-2 loss program and he has turned it into a 1 loss program. He has not proven he find a defensive coordinator( he's had the time)or play quality defense much less build up a program.

Any coach coming to LSU has his work cut out for him.

I don't expect another Saban. I expect to play for a title every 3-4 years. Is that too much?

A title is something you won't sniff for another 6 years. You have no idea how fricked the program is at the moment
