That's fricked up if they went with him over Jimbo and Jimbo wanted it.

I can't believe a team that was a field goal away from playing for a national title is hiring a guy that hasn't coached in 9 years.

Jimbo would be a horrible fit for that job, unless he adopts Rich's offense.

Another Bowden to continue the family tradition of mediocrity and hype.

sorta hard to judge that since the man has not walked the sidelines in nearly 10 years.....IMO there is a reason he has not coached in that time period...

That website also predicted Doc Holiday was the coach last week.

Hiring Terry Bowden is probably the best option at this point.

he ran Auburn's program into the ground...every year he was at AU his teams progressively got worse ....just ask Tuberville...when he took over in 1999 the team was pretty bad. TB does not like to "recruit", and it showed

I don't see the allure of Jimbo. He was the offense guy on a team that was known for its defense.

I have always liked and still like Bowden. One of two coaches to go undefeated at AU and not get a title out of it.
He was in my top three had Miles left.

The Little General had his daddy call the governor of W.Virgina to lobby for his son to get the job. That says it all as far as I am concerned. The lure for JF is that is his home, and he mite well see Fla St. going down the tubes if there are any NCAA sanctions tacked on to the school-imposed suspensions.

That, and he has the same amount of head coaching experience as you and I.
