Would you rather Slade Nagle or Russ Callaway as tight ends coach?

Shea has mentioned both as potential candidates for LSU.

Slade Nagle

Russ Callaway

Both look like great candidates with prior OC and QB coaching experience. Nagle has more official or on-staff years, so I'd lean that way but either would be a great add, especially if Sloan is moved to OC and (theoretically) might not have as much 1:1 time with the QB room

Didn’t Slade spend time as Special Teams Coordinator at LSU under Les?

nagle has been successful ST Coordinator

also did very well as TE coach

did good as qb coach and good as OC

his father is dc at Zachary and he is extremely respected in the LA HS ranks

also considered a very good recruiter

i personally would rather have someone that is an elite recruiter from the state of Texas, particularly Houston or dfw market but if we are not doing that, slade would be the next best choice imo

Nagle being well known in Louisiana would be a great hire

Does every coach on the team have to be from Louisiana?

Would be nice to get a guy from Texas or miss.

It would be Nagle over Callaway imo.

Based on that alone, SLADE NAGLE has my vote.

I liked Callaway when he was here and he did a good job with Max, but body of work really tilts in Nagle's favor. He could be valuable in building scheme and in recruiting.
