Word on OC?

Any word on who and how hard we are going after for OC? Obviously we want a big time hire at head coach and if we get the right guy (Herman) it wont matter alot but say he doesn't come or Jimbo, or CEO wins out and gets the job we gotta have a stud OC.

One of the reasons I don't like the idea of retaining Coach O is because he's a pro style coach and will end up keeping Ensminger at OC. Even if Ensminger is a decent OC, we need an OC that develops QB's if Coach O ever becomes a serious candidate. Should be told to him upfront. Let's hope it doesn't come to that, though.

I agree. There's a reason Ensminger has been TE coach. It's possible Coach O wins out and retains the job so you gotta be talking to some guys...of course nothing can be done or promised until the head coach is official I understand that.

The same reason he just guided our offense to a school record for yards in an SEC game? And neither O or anyone else from LSU is talking to any OC candidates. The HC that gets hired when the regular season is over will handle that. This thread is retarded.

I'm not expecting them to hire one before a head coach, of course I know they wouldn't. My thinking is Coach O actually has a shot at getting this job so just in case he does why not be in the ear of a few big time OCs already. Then if he doesn't get it whoever you hire can bring in who he wants.
