Cynical opinion: Tulane may want to save their money to keep Ron Hunter.

Fritz has done well here. He has not done so well as to command a counteroffer.

If he leaves, so be it.

It's not him leaving that will be the problem. It's what Tulane does after he leaves. Completed bricked slam dunks after Larry Smith (Lindy Infante) and Bowden (Rich Rod) left; Mack Brown didn't leave an obvious successor except that Greg Davis obviously was not the guy.

He's gotten Tulane to two bowl games in a row.

I think the next step is a lower level Power 5 job.

Guess what? Arky and Mizzou are lower level Power 5 jobs!

frick you, and frick Fritz

The hardest of nos possible. Sterk will lose his job if he’s dumb enough to make this hire. Hopefully he knows that

Some of y’all really hate using context when it comes to coaches.

There is no context in which 22-27 is good. None

If you like this clown so much then you can have him.

Even with context being 500 shouldn't net you a job like mizzou or Arkansas when other coaches available in your own league are doing big things

Tulane was a 2-10 tire fire. He might have hit his ceiling, but he did an A+ job at changing the culture.

Our Massey rating has gone from 105ish to 50s-60s in just four years. A bowl win would mark consecutive bowl wins and winning seasons.

Arkansas needs a patient program builder. A flash hire will implode. It takes 3 or 4 years to climb from the SEC West cellar to even Aggy level.

frick no they don’t want him.

They’re just saying he would be good for you lol.

Even the Tulane guys aren’t really upset at the thought of him leaving and seem to view him as replaceable.

My God it's freaking Tulane

You would have trashed Bill Snyder after 4 or 5 years

Agreed but there are better coaches out there for that besides Fritz and I'm not talking about Norvell or Kiffin.

You have to understand where Arkansas fans are coming from at this point. Context of the school was the biggest argument in support of Chad Morris when he was hired. I'm not saying Fritz and Morris are even close in terms of coaching ability but similar things were being said about SMU that are now being said about Tulane in regards to being very hard to win at

It would be a very hard sell to do that all over again.

Recruiting was going excellent at the AAC level. Something happened at the top.

#53 rated class is gonna go up in smoke.

Fritz had zero top 25 or Power Five wins. Fritz was excellent at beating shite teams, however.

I’ve interviewed people as a favor to someone else before. It happens.
