Isnt his daughter a Houston sports reporter?

She used to be on channel 2 but left a few years ago. If she is on TV again, I'd like to know where. She is finer than sifted flour.

Kliff on shortlist for new HC

Who wants to watch, no defense, losing college football???

35-40 record 19-35 in Big12, and had one of worst defenses every season, made horrible 4th down calls, etc

Any hire by a p5 for him, is n good ole boy hire. He was not a good head coach, and had a recruiting hot bed, in his back yard.

Fritz is the highest paid coach in the group of 5.

Zero pressure or expectations.

Easy schedule/ cakewalk to expanded playoff

Tulane isn’t a terrible job anymore, but I’ve heard that Fritz really likes Houston. Don’t blame him.. NOLA is a dump

If the reports are correct, he was about to bolt last year for GT. It's not like he has demonstrated that he wants to retire there.

I know. It’s because their administration still doesn’t appreciate anything he’s done there. There’s a reason they were irrelevant in a bad conference and they are about to go right back to that when he leaves.

Don’t care what she does. Definitively not guilty.

It’s not a middle finger. Players and coaches always try to get their people hired so they can run over them. It’s up to the powers that be to make the right hire regardless of what they want. This happens all the time.

Organizations with great coaches consult them on AD hires all the time. They may not get to make the call, but they should get some input in the interest of fostering a good working relationship between. The top coach is going to be the AD’s most important employee and bread winner. They have to work well together.

Or you can piss your only good coach in the last 30 years off and he can walk. LINK

Why would Fritz turn down better P5 offers but go to Houston?

Or he does it to get a raise every time this comes up.

His last school didn't appreciate his as they wanted him to basically sign 1 year contracts every year and he wanted a commitment from the school. Tulane has and will continue to give him a commitment for as long as he wants.

It's a big step up. In a better conference, easier to get recruits in, Houston has at least one athletics sugar daddy.

It’s not a lateral move. It’s just a very meh P5 program without a lot of support and not much room for growth surrounded by many bigger programs. He could probably do better.

If he leaves Tulane I’d just promote Slade Nagle
