Yeah this makes no sense. Muschamp hasnt coordinated a successful defense in awhile. Definite pelini vibes

Georgia's most legit insider says different. He says Muschamp has rarely been around the team this season. Particularly practices and team events. Hard to imagine hes secretly running the defense from Vandy or home in South Carolina. But maybe hes on some deep state arc and all things are possible.
It's definitely a puzzling move by Sark. Is he genius or cracking? I feel hes cracking. Hes got real pressure now. Just from reading around the tealeaves, it appears Texas fans and insiders are wondering the same thing. Far too much positive spin about the hire. Strange for an out of nowhere move, at a school with the prestige and expectations of Texas and involving an area that wasnt their issue this season. All for a guy that hadn't coordinated defense in years and was semi retired. Seems like sunshine pumping from an outside perspective. We'll see. I like Muschamp but its a strange move considering the place and situation.

His Auburn defenses were pedestrian, and his defenses started slipping at UF before that. Now, spending a few years in the lab with Kirby can't hurt, but he hasn't run a great defense since 2012.
Strange move for Texas.
