If Les retired in 3-5 years (or got fired), will Jimbo even consider coming here?

I'm assuming (hoping) Alleva will be gone by this time as well.

I'd imagine a guy like Sumlin will be Alabama's next coach.

I thought Dabo was the 'next' Alabama head coach, assuming he wanted it?

He's right. A friend of mine knows Jimbo:
1a) bama
1b) auburn
3) LSU

However, he is bummed the deal fell through. He WAS coming.

I'm hearing that Dabo doesn't want to be the guy to follow Saban.

Dabo isn't the kind of guy that would turn that down because he's scared he won't be successful enough

Apparently Jimbo to LSU was legit. The only reason hall retained les was because the deal fell through. I don't know if that was common knowledge I was just told his by someone pretty close to the situation

Sure, if by "deal fell through" you mean that Louisiana politics reared it's ugly head.

Jeff Sessions will step down from the Senate to coach at Alabama from what I've heard.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say he wouldn't fit their "profile".

I'm sure he'll end up at another SEC West school and torment us for 15 years.

EXACTLY!!!!

Yes, this was handled terribly by LSU, but the bottom line is Fisher was the ONLY person who could decide if he wanted to be the coach of LSU. He chose not to
