Change your heading. It's misleading.

Didn’t he get an extension last year? I don’t think he’s a bad coach but not sure if Vandy wants to give him a raise a second year in a row considering the circumstances

With that QB graduating I’d bounce.

The rumor I have always heard is that the admin there really doesn’t care for him but they keep him cause the team loves him and he is getting them to bowl games.

Mason is better than any of their coaches in recent history. He cannot recruit as well as others because of academic restrictions. He is safe.

No. Franklin was passing through though. I would think this is Mason's destination. I have changed my mind though.

He was interviewed and when asked about Colorado, he answered in Coachspeak for "I'm gone."

Attendance is horrendous, even by Vandy standards

He constantly gives them shite for not giving a damn about football. He is right and they know it but they don’t want to hear it.

Mason deserves better than Vanderbilt. They put next to no resources into that football program.

I'll give Mason credit for improving as a coach during his time here. After his first season, I did not think that he would ever take us to multiple bowls, which is something only James Franklin has been able to accomplish at Vanderbilt.

I wouldn't blame him if he left, but I also won't lose sleep over losing a coach with a 9-31 SEC record.

I hope not but then, he came from the pac12, may want to go back as well as go to a school with lower academic standards

He's looking at 4-5 wins tops next year with Shurmer graduating and junior defections to draft. There will be strong push to out him 1 year from now with those likely results.

Plus, new AD coming in.

He'd be crazy not to at least listen
