Why would miles consider Greg Robinson ?

Nobody can bring the talent necessary for Syracuse to win.. it may have been a good football school once, but never again.

Its not like Army, they were good less than 10 years ago. They don't have to be USC good, just contend in the Big East, not really that hard.

I have to admit. When I first saw that headline, I was like "Hell NO!!!" I have not looked at his resume though. I'm basing my knee-jerk reaction on how absolutely terrible Syracuse has been under his reign as head coach. Can someone with more knowledge about this guy rattle off a few more of his accomplishments that would convince me and 99% of the other LSU fans just like me why this would be a good fit? Thanks.

Only 1 is going to Syracuse, because he's from Syracuse... and he's two star.

Positives about Robinson:
1) He's firey.
2) He runs an aggressive system.
3) He makes great halftime adjustments.
4) The year he led Texas' D...they held OU's offense to 11 points or something like that. Unfortunately, Texas' offense was shutout and they lost the game. But that was the best defensive performance by the Texas D in a long time.
One caveat.....he did have the luxury of having Derrick Johnson at LB, who was an amazing talent.

I wonder if the fact they suck and had a bad coach has anything to do with it?
From 1987 to 2001 Syracuse had ZERO losing seasons. In 2001 they were 10-3. where the frick do you idiots get they idea that they can't possibly get recruits to go there? No they probably can't get a 5* kid from florida or texas or even one for NY that is being recruited by Penn St or ND, but they can get good players from the east. Look at the NY top 10 all but the kid going to Stanford are staying in the East. With a good coach Syracuse could certainly compete with Rutgers and BC for recruits.
