They’re national contenders right now

You want to bet Ole Miss doesn’t win the national championship this year or any year in the next 10 years. He can win one at LSU or even Florida.

I love LSU. They could lose 8 games a season and I’d still bleed P&G

But I’m not seeing the upside for Kiffin given where we are today

it’s got to be explained to you then I really wouldn’t even count you as an LSU fan

off the top of my head, I would think bigger stadium more financial backing bigger NIL fund to pull from, probably better training facilities. when it comes to facilities, LSU usually is one of the front runners. I would say it’s probably one of the top four college jobs in the United States.

Top 4 college jobs and yet anytime it opens up, we land guys like Miles, O and Kelly. I don’t think we’re a top 4 job. I’m a fan, not delusional

Oxford much nicer than Baton Rouge and much less pressure there than LSU. City of BR and Media of BR make LSU much less atractive

At this point I question your college football knowledge. Many of the reasons have been given and you still question. You named names Miles, Coach O and Kelly as passed hires not making us a top four school, yet two of the three of those brought the school a title. One took us to the title game twice and the other put together one of the best teams in college football history. At this point I don’t think there is a need for you to know why Kiffin would consider LSU. The answers have been given and you debate them.

LSU has 3 Championships in the past 22 years. The talent in state along with lack of in state opponents for those recruits give LSU an advantage most other schools dont have. Yes there is pressure win 10+ games a year. Yes there is pressure to be in the playoff hunt. Yes there is pressure to win SEC and National Championships. But Kiffin is the coach that can do it and be very successful for many years.

And even that might not scare him off. All I know is I’m way more worried about LSU than Florida

I think it's safe to say if he doesn't leave in this carousel then he'll be there until he retires or starts losing. Will be interesting to see

None of this is true anymore.

Kiffin is taking ole Miss to the playoffs. He's 50-18 there. He makes almost what Kelly does and OM will gladly give him a new deal.

He could jump to LSU and be fired in 3 years with the nuts around here.

He believes he can win it all there and in this new age, he's right.

Expect a new deal before playoffs.

Maybe because three of our last four head coaches have won national titles and we’re freaking LSU and Ole Miss has never even made it to the SEC title game.

Yeah it is. You can buy name players anywhere with a budget, but you need recruiting pipelines to get all the hidden gems. That makes the difference between a team with great starters, and a deep team.

If you assume that LSU will be a good, perhaps great team with any coach and that Ole Miss will fall off after Lane leaves, then by him taking the LSU job he minimizes his annual competition. Lane at Ole Miss vs LSU will always be a battle. Lane and LSU vs Ole Miss could be a mismatch.
