I mean seriously...take LSU out of the equation. Why would he leave for anywhere to take the same job that he now has at Alabama?

How would you like to be one of the best in your profession but have an angry midget constantly looking over your shoulder and yelling at you on national TV?

Speculating but maybe LSU will pay him more and provide less stressful work environment. I don't think he leaves Bama unless it's to be a HC somewhere.

This was the response given to me when asked the same question..maybe it won't be a lateral move but instead an assistant coaching job with more pay than an offensive coordinator. Who knows...

He wants to coach with his boy O for more money.

Maybe he doesn't enjoy getting cussed out in a game vs a rent a win

Him and coach o are best friends and talk every week. Kiffin will be a hell of a lot more comfortable working with coach o

Possibly ego

It would take more money but if he came in and was able to beat Saban with LSU's notoriously bad offensive history then that's a nice feather in his cap.

The primary answer in this thread is $$.

So a coach that will give up chanpionships in exchange for a slight raise?

Another solid hire if so!

To get away from saban is as good a reason as any.
