His passing attach has always been elite (always in the top 25 at Ole Miss and North Carolina)

But this year he got the ball rolling with his rushing attack.
10th in YPG. 4th in YPC.

2 1000+ yard rushers with over 150 carries and over 7 YPC.

This is a year after having True Freshmen pass for 3300+ yard 35 TDS in 2019

I wouldn’t be against, way better choice and fit than Harrell! I’d still prefer Lebby and honestly wouldn’t be totally upset over Calloway. I’d like to see some continuity of what our O did the last couple games with Max.

Based on???? His offenses with the exception of this year have been more pass heavy than GH. Give me a reason why he is better please.

Sure

Seems like they’ve narrowed a list down without him tho

Both of his RBs are nfl players, and will go high in the draft this year

Harrell’s run game was dead last in the PAC12 this year. I’ve gone and watched interviews with him and he never even mentions the run game. We can’t compete with that style in SEC, Leach proves that!

Please for the love of God hire him

Put up huge numbers against shitty teams and then had abysmal redzone numbers. We couldn't believe North Carolina took him off our hands

Not a fan of harrell either.

Seems like they are going after name more than substance

Longo would be more of a qb coach than oc on this staff

Ask why Ole Miss fans were glad to get rid of him.

LINK

He didn’t perform well against top SEC competition, which is why most of their fan base was just fine with him leaving for another job. Longo runs a simple offense very fast, which doesn’t work as well against a top defense. And if you didn’t care for all of the sideline Go routes from E’s 2018 offense, then you really won’t like Longo. That’s his go-to.

He doesn’t face many elite defenses in the ACC, hence the gaudy numbers. However, anyone who has slowed their run game down has caused them major problems. As for the rushing numbers this year, they look great, but that was not a big feature of Longo’s offenses before UNC. You can bet that is at least partly because of Mack Brown.

We have a few better candidates on our wish list. Look beyond the big numbers be shite teams and Longo doesn’t belong on it.

Ever look at his numbers at north texas, pre usc? Yea balanced as can be. Averaged 155 running in 2017 and 165 in 2018.

USC’s running backs are pretty slow, at the same time they have Slovis and St. Brown at receiver so it’s pretty obvious why they leaned on the passing game

Longo had elite talent as well and still couldn’t do anything against a decent defense. AJ Brown, DK Metcalf, Jordan Ta’amu, Jordan Wilkins, Demarkus Lodge, Dawson Knox, Jordan Patterson, Greg Little... Dawson Knox had more touchdowns as a rookie than he did his entire ole Miss career

He had Shea Patterson, DK Metcalf, AJ Brown, Dawson Knox, and Wilkins (Colts RB). And a decent OL

Scored 3 and 7 vs Alabama
Scored 23 and 16 vs Auburn
Scored 24 and 16 vs LSU
Scored 24 twice vs A&M

Notice a trend? Can't score enough on the better teams in the league. He will light up ULM and Vandy though

thats what it looks like when you deep dive the numbers. Seems to be better at USC though.
