Why not Jimmy Lake for DC?

For everyone who is melting over White staying at Kentucky and Golding staying at Alabama, wouldn’t Lake be considered a home run hire as DC?

I’m assuming Golding and White were the primary targets. If they missed on those, they can go get Jimmy now.

Amen. There’s no “smokescreen” anymore. This is just embarrassing seeing LSU and Kelly not putting a staff together. That’s not due to a “transition” year either.

Fair enough, he'd be a fantastic hire. Primarily a NW coach but had 2 stints with the Bucs so no stranger to coming down south. I'll ride with this until we announce Daronte Jones Year 2: Electric Boogaloo

I’m just pointing out that there are a lot more than one or two good options.
Kelly is going to find the best option for his vision of the program, and he has a history of hiring home run assistants (one of whom just got the Notre Dame HC job). If it takes time, it takes time.

Just because Kelly isn't doing what you want him to do doesn't mean he's doing it wrong.
