I played the Jeff Traylor lead Gilmer Buckeyes in high school. It didn't work out very well for us lol

Huff should be higher on the board than Sumrall IMO.
Rebuilt two programs, and what he’s done with USM this year has been incredible. He’s also from the Saban tree and hearing his philosophy on ball & team building is very reminiscent of Saban. I’m shocked Virginia tech isn’t looking harder at him

Tulane and Southern Miss are both G5
True but you can argue that Tulane plays in a 'harder' conference. Plus Im pretty sure we could pay more than USM.
I think he would look good in Olive and Sky Blue.

I think Traylor would work for lsu. His offense is physical and lsu needs to get back to that.

Huff pretty much got fired from Marshall. They wanted him out
From what I remember on the Marshall message boards last year, that was mostly because the AD offered Huff an extension after the Notre Dame win, but he refused it and started flirting with other job openings.
Huff ended up staying at Marshall, and then after having a 6-7 season, went back to the AD and asked for the extension. The AD was like, let's see how this season goes first, and Huff shut off communication until he left.
The fanbase seemed to mostly like Huff as a coach, though.

Being a snob about it is how we got BK.

First thing Huff did when he got to Hattiesburg was tell the team " If I haven't already called and talked to you, you need to transfer." He means business and must be a player's coach because he brought about half the Marshall team with him. I wouldn't be afraid to roll the dice with him.

Every time a man of colors name comes up there are those who automaticly discount them.Hes from a lower division he wouldn’t fit here etc.My BIL was a dentist in BR and he told me 75% of his male patients would not support a democrat coach.

USM won today beating Arkansas State 27-21 to improve to 7-2 and 5-0 in conference.

Reading X, the few utsa fans that exist seem to want Traylor out.

I think that would be dumb. I think Traylor can right things there.

I don’t think Huff bringing half the USM team would help LSU

Tulane last 2 coaches were each sitting head coaches of Sunbelt programs and each had won the sunbelt the season prior. We pay more, have more resources, and the AAC, even still, is a higher profile league than the sunbelt.
That said, I'm not sold on Huff. Marshall was a top c-usa program in terms of history and support, not some basket-case, and he never had that great season. So-far so good at USM, but let's see how he does without the Marshall transfers.
Plus I really don't want to take USM's coach -they deserve some peace.

If Marshall had so much history and support they would’ve kept their players. Huff recruited those kids, developed them, and is still winning with them.
