Why is Charlie Strong?

not being pursued heavily by Auburn or MS State? Maybe we hear something on him this week since SEC title game is over? I think him and Turner Gil would be two of the strongest candidates for the Auburn position, b/c I think they could recruit well against Saban. Maybe not as good, but still compete with him.
I think AU has to bring in either Strong or Gil, imo.

I think Gill is a great coach and will do well wherever he goes, but I also think Auburn needs a guy with some SEC ties. I have my doubts about Gill succeeding in the SEC. And personally I'm not that big on Charlie Strong. Bama's offense had their way with Florida for much of that game yesterday until the 4th quarter. I think he is going to have to prove himself as a head coach at a smaller school before SEC schools seriously look at him.

Auburn really shouldn't hire a coordinator. They need a proven HC.

Charlie Strong is crap, IMO. I guess they should interview him to satisfy the NAACP, but not as a serious candidate.

I have asked this for the past two or three years. With all the coaching turnover, why is Charlie Strong passed up year after year? I'm sure there is a reason, I just can't figure it out.
