Why do we not see Greg Schiano's name anywhere else?

The media told me he was an excellent head coaching candidate.

The smearing from the Tenner trash made it impossible to be hired this year. Hopefully he gets a shot next year. I also hope Tenner goes winless in the SEC again next year

It's probably why Schiano has a good lawsuit against Rocky Top.

That's a very good question. And the Tards will say it's because of Tennessee, but he wasn't on the radar for any big HC gig before the VolTwitter backlash.

So I hope someone gives us a legitimate answer here

After the shitstorm at UTk? He’s toxic. Whether that is deserved is where the debate is at.

He’s banking on Tennessee hush money.

A better question is why hasn't Greg Schiano filed a lawsuit against Tennessee yet? They dragged his name through the mud and ruined the potential of any top job opportunities coming his way in the near future.

The University of Tennessee drug his name through the mud? When was this?

Because he didn’t make time magazine’s “silence breakers” list.

Real answer:
UT was the only job better then Ohio St coordinator that would actually consider hiring him?

My guess is everyone else knew it would be bad idea until UT proved it was, and he doesn't want to go somewhere like Troy to be the head coach?

No one wants him. It has nothing to do with the Vols back lash, as he was not rumored to go any where before the UT incident.
And the media has sided with Schiano hard, so if anything there's incentive to hire him because youll get positive coverage by the media which could help with recruiting.
No school wants him because
a) he tends to be a prick so his players hate him, which hurts recruiting and leads to players leaving
b) since he's reported as being a prick the school's administration won't like him
c)he did bad at Tampa Bay
d) though it is basically a third hand account and may not be true, he has been implicated in court of allowing pedophilia to ocurr

These things combined out weigh his success at Rutgers and cause schools to view other candidates as better. That is why he is a DC right now and not on anyone's HC list

I know people think Meyer is a liar and a POS, but this is what he said in the off-season

quote:

"He was offered two head coaching jobs -- two significant head coaching jobs -- and he made a decision to come back," Meyer said when asked by NJ Advance Media. "I've known Greg for a long time -- and he's a head coach. He will be a head coach (again)."

He's basically untouchable because Tennessee fans threw so much mud that the casual observer now thinks that Schiano molested a bunch of kids at Penn State and Sandusky took the fall for it.

What's funny is Schiano wasn't good enough for them and now they are looking at exclusively sitting DCs and will likely hire Pruitt.
