What if it’s a deal breaker do you let him finish with ole miss?

If you absolutely MUST let him finish, you need something legally binding in writing first. Period.

Maybe because he's the best available candidate?

What the hell? Alabama hasn't even played yet and who even cares about the SEC game anymore? Teams like Ole Miss?

Hate to break this news to you, but Lane Kiffin does not hate Ole Miss.

I mean having a little playoff experience would probably pay off for whichever team he chooses.

No one actually thought he was coming here, right? This is what he does. He'll get more money and nil with ole miss and call it a day.

They've convinced themselves Lane is the only coach that can win here even though 3/4 coaches here previously won championships including one who ate grass picked from the ground and one who once quit football to dig ditches.

I believe Lane is top 6 in wins over the past 5 years. Why would you not want a more consistent coach at a place like LSU?

Because there's more to sports than being a fan. What about the kids?

I have no problem with him finishing out the season with his team. It would be good to know he’s definitely coming first though.

Agree.

Bama’s current coached stayed with UW all the way through the CFP CG. It worked out fine.

As opposed to just not hiring him?

They are desperate and stupid. Hopefully our AD isn't.

Which is why its even crazier to hold his hand while he keeps winning games for them without something in writing.

Because I want the coach we want to want to finish what he started with integrity.

No matter what his next move is.

That is the reality when you are the one pursuing and not the one being pursued.. Also it’s called respect. Telling a guy he has to leave his current playoff bound team ain’t it. Where we are now, we need him. Not the other way around

This played bigly into allowing him to continue to coach.

why the hell would we let him go win an SECCG for our rival?

Isn’t the reason that Lane would come to BR is because they aren’t actually our rival??

Having our coach on TV for the next month winning at a lower level program would be pretty valuable publicity imo

But the bottom line is if we want Lane, and he wants to come but also wants a chance to finish what he’s spent six years building toward, I think that is acceptable as long as he is signed, it is public, and Frank/Austin are running recruiting anyway.

Because it is the right thing to do, to allow those players to finish the season with their coach.

Ole Miss is not that talented. They are well coached. They overachieved. They are not going to win the title this season. They will not make it to the semifinals.
