I think we are all in the dark about our own future staff but you’d have to think since Saban gets whoever he wants it will be a big name. Could Sark and Herman possibly trade jobs?

I can assure you $aban keeps a list of replacement coaches handy & he'll work down his list.

Whoever they hire has to run their current system, so that limits them a bit. Some coordinators are set in their ways and won’t change.

Alabama has run the same offense since Kiffin. LSU is doing this as well, having an “LSU” offense and keeping the same playbook and terminology.

Are there any analysts at Alabama that have been in the rehab program?

Saban’s last three OC hires have been internal. Maybe I’m splitting hairs on Kiffin, but he was technically already there when he was promoted. However, Locksley and Sark were brought in after their failures elsewhere, learned Bama’s offensive system inside and out and proved themselves over some time before getting the gig.

I know Saban and Bama could have anyone they want, but this path has been working for them. I can absolutely see them promoting from within again.

I heard he was back at a Bama as an analyst. Now that would be the ULTIMATE Saban rehab considering he only lasted a year as OC under him at Bama the first time around.

I hate it as an Arkansas fan, but you have to think that Kendal Briles is on Saban's short list and will be one of the first calls.

He would run an offense very similar to Kiffin's and they have that connection of working together previously. Briles would be more likely to take the Bama job than LSU, who I wasn't too worried about poaching him. I'm worried about this opening though.

What a pussy LSU fan comment.

This has no bearing in fact or history. Saban’s OC hires have nearly all been internal in recent years.

Just left his analyst job at Bama for the OC spot at South Alabama.

Whoever was first on LSU’s list probably.

Wait, probably no one wants whoever that is.

While the offenses are similar... We did have a year under Locksley that really was boom or bust. Definitely have moved away from the heavy RPO schemes.

Actually Sark and Daboll are probably more pro style then their predecessors. More 2 TE sets, pistol, and even snaps under center.

No one knows what Saban will do, but guessing he sticks with the more west coast pro style like this year.

Don’t think Saban would have let him leave if he was “next in line” behind Sark. Sarkisian didn’t sneak out the back door to accept the job at Texas. Saban would have known for a while now that his OC may be leaving.
