It disturbs me that we may not land either Jimbo or Herrman. In case that possibility comes to pass, which of the 2nd tier candidates has done the most with less talent?

McIntyre, Colorado HC. He turned a complete dumpster fire into a top 10 program and employed by leftist administration that don't give a flip about football. Amazing job.

Dan Mullen is not a 2nd tier coach but he is the wild card I think in this whole search.

I'd be interested in Mullen if I were an LSU fan although supposedly conference officials frown upon teams from the same division stealing each other's coaches.

Mike Mcintyre. Rebuilt a shitty program and turned it into a top 10 team. Has a top 5 offense in a league of high scoring sling the ball around offenses. Most importantly CO defense is #1 in the Pac12(#14 nationally) in total defense.

Yep. I'd take him over Fleck, Fedora and Holgorsen.

This Fleck obsession is weird. Even at WMU against MAC opponents he was awful until this year.

Other names you don't see mentioned as often on here: Kyle Whittingham, Gary Patterson, James Franklin.

Mike Gundy and Larry Fedora would be neck and neck...

Gundy has had Ok State ranked the last 10 years... currently top ten now.. He made Ok State better than what miles did with it.. He should be neck and neck with herman in my opin...

Fedora would also be good, prob is he may want to bring Chizik... have no idea why.. Chiz should want to say and take the HC at NC..

Cant go wrong with either of those hires...

Holgorson no.
Fleck no
Mullen would be interesting..
Kiffen would be interesting..
Colorado coach doesnt make sense.. we have Aranda

Im sure we get Fisher or Herman though.. just not sure which one.. hahaha

I think Gundy would lite it up here, especially with Aranda... The guys offenses are legit and put up points and numbers..

This. Revamped the Western Kentucky program and is currently doing very well at USF. If you like points, the man puts them up by the truckload.

I'd probably take my chances with Aranda before this list.

Gundy.

Not sold on MacIntyre. He was getting close to the hot seat at CU before this year.
