How would him going to Mich be a scary combo? Against the good big 10 teams, his offense sucked arse.

Randy is a defensive guy. And a good one at that.

Rich Rod is a great offensive guy.

It would be a great fit.

Talking about Rich rod. His offense has proven very unsuccessful against teams that have competent Defensive lines. (Ohio St, Mich St, Iowa, Wisc)

And what does this have to do with hiring a good defensive coordinator being a good thing for Michigan?

Very true, if he could convince RR to stop running that 3-3-5. That's not going to work in the Big 11.

Shannon is a defensive guy and has always been a really good one. Although, he has always had Miami talent to work with on defense.

I'm just saying that Rich Rod and Randy Shannon is not a "scary" combo as someone stated earlier.

Remember that Randy Shannon defense that Jimbo hung 40 on? Yeah, that defense was awesome.
